The Walter E. Brandon Sickle Cell Walk & Run
The Walter E. Brandon Sickle Cell Walk & Run is a marathon event to raise funds and awareness of sickle cell disease. It was located at Fairmount Park, close to the Please Touch Museum. The event was hosted by Zemoria Brandon. The day celebrates the 27th annual walk event. Other businesses and organizations were present, distributing and selling items during the event. Additionally, there were face painting activities and complimentary refreshments. The event is usually celebrated each year in September.

Abdul Muhammad At The Sickle Cell Event
Inthusee's founder and CEO Abdul Muhammad attened the Sickle Cell Walk. He went there alongside with his father, Abdullah Sams to support the event. Muhammad has been to the Sickle Cell walk in a couple of years before. Abdul has dedicated himself to taking part in the Walter E. Brandon Sickle Cell Walk to show his support.

Zamoria Brandon
Zamoria Brandon is the host and owner of the Walter E. Brandon Sickle Sell Walk. She organized this event to raise awareness and support others who are battling sickle cell disease. Brandon also dedicated the event to honor and remember her late husband, Walter E. Brandon, who passed away from sickle cell disease in 1998. Brandon is well-known to Abdul Muhammad's father through out the years, especially when he attends the sickle cell walk with family and friends. Zamoria is a prime example of assisting the community in the battle against sickle cell disease..

Tribute to Walter E. Brandon
Walter E. Brandon was the man who fought against sickle cell disease. He was the co-founder of the organization for sickle cell disease awareness. The event was named in his honor following his passing after battling sickle cell disease. He died from the illness on April 2, 1998. His memory and legacy continues to live on during the celebration of the Sickle Cell walk.
